Christmas Decorating Ideas: Easy and Quick Holiday Decorations
Gather up some pine cones from your yard or visit an arts and crafts store. Take a collection you have and just lay in some sprigs and pinecones. In this display,
all of the figurines are white. A uniform color brings unity to the arrangement. Simple. Easy. Very, very affordable.
Don't forget the real meaning behind Christmas. A beautiful nativity set is placed strategically on this cabinet between two gorgeous lamps. Fill in with some
sprigs and short branches from a pine, fir or spruce tree. An investment in a quality nativity set will last many years and remind your family of the real meaning
of Christmas.
Evergreen branches are always an easy way to make any area look festive. They really last a long time too without water, but do keep an eye on them as they
can eventually dry out and become a fire hazard. Sprays of branches always look great on a mantle.
Four Additional Christmas Holiday Tips
- Customize your Christmas tree to fit the decor of your room. I've had African trees, Asian trees, Country American trees, high tech trees, children's ornament
trees and so forth. Get your inspiration from items already in your home and build on that.
- Repeat some of the household objects you already have. A clever use of construction paper, delicate foils, glue and scissors can make a really nice custom tree.
- Use reflective mylar and white lights for an elegant looking tree. Buy some curled ribbon to get additional shapes. For more sparkle, add plenty of glitter or
confetti. Reflective surfaces will always pick up the lights and add sparkle to the whole room.
- Use readily available and inexpensive objects to decorate your Christmas tree. Visit your local arts and crafts store and just walk up and down the
aisles looking for inspiration. You might also get ideas from your basement or attic. I think the absolute best trees are the individualized ones that reflect your
personality.

HOW TO HANG ARTWORK
You've had 5 works of art leaning up against
the wall for several months. You've been stepping around them and over them for some time. They're there because you're just not sure where to hang them or
how to hang them. The walls were freshly painted and you don't want to put any unnecessary holes in the walls.

CREATING BEAUTIFUL WALL GROUPINGS
Most of your art and framed pictures
are small. You know you shouldn't just scatter them about the room as that would make it very cluttered. You're concerned about how to place the art in and
around furniture. So you've been living with nothing on the walls at all and your home looks pretty sterile and unappealing.
